Fan Xiao is a Registered Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner. He graduated with honours specializing in chemistry from Western University. During his university years, he developed an interest in Eastern medicine after seeing one of his family members receiving acupuncture with amazing results. So right after his graduation he decided to move on to another path and finished his 4-year intensive training at Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine which is equivalent to the Doctoral Degree program of Oriental Medicine in the United States.
He has done multiple internships before he started his career and volunteered at Dorothy Ley hospice for 14 months where acupuncture is utilized to help patients with terminal illness. He is dedicated to combine his background in science with oriental medicine and motivated to help others improve their quality of life. Fan is knowledgeable of many modalities of acupuncture such as traditional Chinese acupuncture points, tung’s points, channel palpitation by wang ju-yi, zhu’s scalp acupuncture, dry needling and cupping.
